Pottery Workshop with Ester Lipscomb: Pinch Pot Mug

June 4, 2023 @ 2:00 pm 4:00 pm

Join us on Sunday, June 4th from 2:00-4:00p at our Tallulah Falls Outpost location for a Pinch Pot Pottery Workshop with local potter Ester Lipscomb. Please note this is at our Tallulah Falls location in Tallulah Falls Georgia and not at our downtown Clayton, Georgia location.

Create a fun heirloom pottery piece in this engaging and interactive workshop! Join local potter Ester Lipscomb to create your own pinch pot mug (or cup, planter or luminary). After sculpting participants can add color to their work and then create a carved “sgraffito” texture surface on their pottery. Pottery will be fired by Ester in her Lakemont studio to create a one of a kind food safe work of art. Pottery will be available for pickup at Wander approximately 6 weeks after class.

Tickets are $55 per person and space is limited to 20 participants. Ester’s workshops ALWAY sell out – and quickly – so if you’re interested in coming, please grab your spot soon with a ticket at the link above.

As a reminder, workshop presenters keep 100% of the profit so this is a great way opportunity to come support the local arts and walk away with a hand made piece of pottery!

Local potter Ester Lipscomb has over 20 years of experience teaching and making pottery. She has guided students from 3 to 93 in enjoying their innate creativity. Many know her as a resident potter at Mark of the Potter and have seen her work at art shows in Atlanta, Asheville, Macon, Athens and more. She will show you the proper techniques for making a piece of pottery to last, no experience necessary. If you have always wanted to try clay this is an afternoon you won’t want to miss. The instructor will provide clay, tools and everything you need.

Work will be glazed and fired by the instructor and will be available for pickup at our Tallulah Falls location approximately 6 weeks after class. Shipping is available for an additional charge.

***UNFORTUNATELY, we can not offer returns or refunds for workshops as the presenter gets paid up front and refunding after the fact means we eat the lost money. We hate to be so blunt but this happens consistently creating a ton of extra work that often costs us money. Since the presenter is keeping 100% of the ticket cost, please make sure you are only purchasing a ticket if you are sure you can make it.***
