Bouldering is rope-less climbing at low heights. When you fall, you will drop onto the ground, which we have padded with 8-12 inches of wood chips, or will fall onto a bouldering pad in certain sections of the wall that are more difficult and present a greater chance of falling.
Climbing shoes and comfortable attire are all you need to get on the wall. Climbing shoes are available to rent for $5. You are welcome to use your own close-toed shoes on the wall at your own risk.
Any athletic or loose-fitting clothing works great for bouldering. Jeans are not optimal for bouldering.
We’re glad you asked! For convenience, please fill out our waiver. It will save you time and get you climbing as quickly as possible once you arrive.
No appointment necessary! Whether you have never climbed before or if you are a climbing veteran, just show up when we are open and someone will be here to help you. We like to say, “If you can walk, you can climb!” But it varies from child to child. We do not allow children under 5 to participate in Adventure Zone activities. Children between ages 5 and 12 are required to be supervised by an adult who is ready to spot, and can ensure all rules are being followed.
No. Day passes are available, or memberships and punch cards can be purchased for multiple visits at a discounted rate. Find out more information on passes here. Passes are for an entire day, so if you want to step out and then come back, that’s no problem. Please be aware that if you leave and come back to the Adventure Zone and it is at capacity, you will have to wait your turn to get back into the Adventure Zone.
Traversing is bouldering, but moving mostly sideways along the wall instead of climbing up. Our climbing wall is 120 feet long and great for traversing! See if you can make it all the way across without stepping down!
A German Study found that indoor rock climbing is safer than badminton, indoor sports, and much safer than contact sports. However, climbing can be dangerous if performed carelessly. Please adhere to our rules and safety tips for a fun and enjoyable experience.
